You know as you grow up in your journey from being a teenage girl to a woman the pressure of marriage indirectly or directly starts building upon you . There could be many factors contributing to that pressure and one out of them is the mindset .

This mindset is not religious but the mindset of taking a step further to form a family . Family is essential for sustainability in the society that we all live in . It’s important that new generations come up so that the concept of “evolution of human beings” continue .

So many times we have heard from our families that it’s really important for women to get married as without them the future of next generation would seem impossible . To have a child is really important . I still wonder if women are so important than still why they are not given choices to select the husband of their choice ? They are often told that marriages are made up in heaven and whomever you meet if you do good deeds and good karma even the impossible will become possible . That’s none but arranged marriage . During every marriage ceremony there is a ritual where the married couple prays to god and seeks blessings from their elders in order to have a successful married life .

If marriages are really made in heaven then why do marriages fail ? Even Gods were married and they may also have conflicts within them but they may have also come up with an alternative but in 21st century all of this seems really impossible .

In 21st century getting married and having a child is really difficult as many factors like financial stability , work life , stress , education are of primary importance. Imagine having a child during the lockdown where the couple has lost their job and lack finances . How would they look after a kid then ? How would the finances be managed ? Marriages maybe made in heaven but Hardwork , success , financial stability , mental health , loneliness etc have turned out to be primarily important than marriages being made in heaven . God can just find all of us partners but the hardwork and success of every relationship is based on humans and even the decision to separate is on humans . If karma plays an important role then in 21st century marriages are not made in heaven but are made by humans themselves .
